Problem Solved! Win 8 is using the wrong port if you installed the patch from Tudiabetes that made the old Dexcom Studio read your monitor. You have go into the Control Panel and look in Hardware and Devices. Find the Dexcom folder in the Device Manager, open it and click the Advanced button. From that window, change the port from 4 to 1 and click Okay.
Find Dexcom software downloads at CNET Download.com, the most comprehensive source for safe, trusted, and spyware-free downloads on the Web. Thank you for downloading Dexcom Studio from our software portal The download is provided as is, with no modifications or changes made on our side. The download version of Dexcom Studio is 12.3.43.
Go back to Dexcom Studio and plug your Dexcoom monitor back in. It may then work. If not, go back to the Device Manager and change the port back to 4 again. You should be fine to read your monitor. Pressing the Print or View button in Dexcom Studio will still not work, however. The file formatted as a Word document can be found in Temp files. It took me some fiddling to find that in Win 8 even though it still resides in All Files in the Computer window, so I created a desktop shortcut for it by right clicking on the file and selecting Create Shortcut.
Note that you still have to click on View or Print in Dexcom Studio in order for the file to arrive in your Temp folder. You can rename the files to more clearly reflect the appropriate dates, of course.
Finally, the Dexcom tech was terrific. The rep I had spoken with last week on another matter made an appointment for him to call me on Monday afternoon which he did promptly. He left me with his direct phone number in case of further problems. LEGAL NOTICE By using this Website, you agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions (the 'Terms').
